Aaron McKenna is an Irish professional boxer fighting in the middleweight division. He was born on July 06, 1999, in Monaghan, Ireland. McKenna comes from an orthodox boxer family background. As an amateur, he has been Irish national champion eight times and captained Ireland five times in international boxing. He was a successful amateur with an impressive 152–9 record and also won the gold European schoolboy championship.
On 09 Dec 2017, McKenna fought his first professional match against Travis Conley and won by unanimous decision. After four years, he got an opportunity to fight Carlos Gallego Montijo for the vacant WBC Youth middleweight title. He successfully secured the championship via unanimous decision. He then defeated Uisma Lima to add another title, the WBC International middleweight title. McKenna proved himself as one of the tough contenders after beating the former world champion Liam Smith.
Etinosa Oliha is an Italian professional boxer fighting in the middleweight division. He was born on June 13, 1998, in Turin, Italy, to a Nigerian couple. When he was 14, he took part in a sports club event in Asti, where he met Davide Greguoldo. Oliha joined the club out of curiosity and is training under Greguoldo's guidance. He successfully finished his amateur career with a 45–12–2 record and won the 2016 Italian youth championship. He turned professional at 19. Oliha defeated Carlo De Novellis to capture the Italian middleweight title. He then successfully defended the title before moving to international competition.
Oliha signed with AGON Sports, a boxing promotion in Berlin, in 2022 following his impressive performance. He managed to win the WBO intercontinental middleweight title in his first-ever promotion fight. Later, he won the IBO middleweight title when he defeated Julio Álamos, and then successfully defended the title against Faton Vukshinaj. He grew his reputation in September 2024 through a third-round knockout victory against Alexander Pavlov.
This is going to be an interesting contest between two undefeated boxers, and yet McKenna has the edge over Oliha. McKenna's better footwork and cleaner boxing style make him the better fighter. Moreover, McKenna recently beat the former world champion, Liam Smith, which shows his ability to handle elite boxers. McKenna's fight in Ireland, with the fans' support, should help him even more. Although Oliha is an undefeated boxer with fast hands, he sometimes fails to set his feet properly. Therefore, McKenna is likely to continue his unbeaten streak.
Pick: Aaron McKenna via Unanimous Decision (UD)
